Special Education Ministry

I praise you because I am fearfully
and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful.
Psalms 139:14

The special education ministry at EBC ministers to adults (age 18 and up) with mild to moderate developmental disabilities. This ministry offers the Special Friends Sunday School class on Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m.  This culturally diverse class provides activities such as worship in song, creative learning and Bible study. The also participate in social outing such as area festivals, eating out, and sporting events under the direction of trained lay people.  The members are individuals who reside at home with family members, area residential centers and group homes. The class ministers to each other by forming lasting friendships and through our weekly prayer ministry. Deaf Ministry

Our deaf and hard-of-hearing friends are always welcome at Easthaven. Interpreters are available at all worship services and our greeters at the entrances will help direct you to the interpreter area in the Worship Center. Remember, Jesus loves you, and we would love to see you here at Easthaven's Deaf Ministry.

Easthaven Christian Childcare / Kindergarten provides early childhood ministry for children 8-weeks though K-5 (after school, up to age 10).

Our childcare / kindergarten classes are staffed with qualified teachers.  We teach "First Look" by The Rethink Group in our one and two year classes.  These classes are for full time care only.

Our kindergarten "only" program meets from 8:00 - 11:30 a.m. for K3 and K4.  The K5 kindergarten class meets from 8:00 - 11:40 a.m.  All classes meet Monday - Friday.

The kindergarten teachers use A Beka curriculum along with additional touches to make learning exciting and interesting.  We also offer gymnastics, sign language, music, and chapel.

The Kindergarten "only" program is offered at a reasonable monthly fee, or you can choose a Kindergarten and Childcare combination on a weekly tuition basis.

Pre-registration is now in progress for 3-4-5 year kindergarten classes for August 2009-2010.

Please call or drop in for a visit.  We consider it an honor to serve your family through the ministry of childcare and kindergarten.  As an outreach, this Center strives to work together to help connect families to God and minister to the lost.

exalt • embrace • evangelize

Welcome to the website of Easthaven Baptist Church and to the Student and/or College Ministry. Since August of 2009, I have had the privilege of serving as Student & Families Pastor. As a result, I have the awesome opportunity to work with both students and their families on a daily basis and minister to them as we seek to grow together as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Every family and each individual has a different story to tell. Different life experiences and opportunities have brought us to where we are today. God, in His infinite wisdom and creativity, made us all unique and yet still in His image and likeness. No matter our background, race, ethnicity, sex, or current situation, we share at least one common bond on this earth: we were all created to glorify God. This means as followers of Jesus Christ, we have purpose each and every day—to worship God with our lives & lifestyles, our actions & words, and our thoughts & attitudes. Following Christ is not always easy, but it is always worth the cost.

This webpage has been designed with you in mind and we hope that you will come back often. We also hope to see you on our church campus sometime soon. Please let us know how we can effectively minister to you and your family. May each of us…

Exalt. Embrace. Evangelize.

To God be the glory,

Brian M. Oswalt
