Student and College Ministry

Welcome to the website of Easthaven Baptist Church and to the Student and/or College Ministry.

Every family and each individual has a different story to tell. Different life experiences and opportunities have brought us to where we are today. God, in His infinite wisdom and creativity, made us all unique and yet still in His image and likeness. No matter our background, race, ethnicity, sex, or current situation, we share at least one common bond on this earth: we were all created to glorify God. This means as followers of Jesus Christ, we have purpose each and every day—to worship God with our lives & lifestyles, our actions & words, and our thoughts & attitudes. Following Christ is not always easy, but it is always worth the cost.

The mission of the Student Ministry of Easthaven Baptist Church is to (1) equip, assist and resource parents in their God-given task of discipling their children and (2) love, equip, and challenge students to become faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

This section of the website has been designed with you in mind, and we hope that you will come back often. We also hope to see you on our church campus sometime soon. Please let us know how we can effectively minister to you and your family.

Student Ministry Purpose:
At Easthaven Baptist Church, students of all ages will learn about the five purposes of the church:

  • Worship    To express our love to God through both private and corporate worship, as well as by living a lifestyle that is pleasing to Him
  • Connect    To grow as a disciple of Jesus and to disciple other believers.
  • Give    To follow in obedience, giving a portion of our finances to God.
  • Serve    To actively be the hands and feet of Jesus by meeting needs in our church, family, schools, and community.
  • Go    To tell others in our community and beyond how Jesus has changed our lives so that all may know Him.

Weekly Schedule:
Sunday
9:15 – 10:15am
Our Sunday mornings begin at 9:15 with food, music, and fellowship. From this large group, we divide into age-appropriate small groups to study God’s Word and learn how to apply its message in relevant ways in today’s world.  We are currently using "The Jesus Studies" curriculum.  This study is made up of 13 four-week series' that teach what Jesus has to say about our faith, identity, image, culture, influence, etc.

5:00 – 6:00pm
Sunday nights are dedicated to discipleship through small groups. After a time of Bible Study, students are encouraged to stay for snacks and hang time, movies, etc.  We meet in The Hub (Student Building).  For the 2019 Fall semester, we are reading through, "The Chase: Pursuing Holiness in Your Everyday Life."

Wednesday
6:15 - 7:30pm
Students are invited to experience live worship, food, giveaways, games, and a relevant message from God’s Word.
