Kidzhaven Children's Ministry
Kidzhaven Children's and Families Ministries exist to encourage and equip strong, healthy, growing families committed to their purposes according to God's will.
Elevate
Our version of children's church, Elevate, is unlike any other children's worship experience as we compete for team energy, team participation, & team attention. We worship Jesus, learn how to live as holy kids, grab hold of some incredible realities from the Bible, test our memories with Scripture, & have a great time doing it all! You're not going to want to miss it.
Sunday mornings, we all begin together as families in the worship center and enjoy the first portion of music and worship. Just before the pastor's message, we dismiss kids 4 years to 4th grade from corporate worship to head to Elevate while parents can stay & listen to the message in the worship center.
Following the worship service, parents and guardians can pick up their children in The Studio. Each week, kids get also receive parent flyer with activities and a brief review of what we've studied along with some ideas of how to reinforce that at home.
Wednesday Night in The Studio
Each Wednesday night from 6:15-7:15 p.m., our kids meet for an exciting time of music, Bible study, missions, games, and crafts.
Nursery and Extended Care
Nursery is available to children 0 - 3 years during the Sunday evening and Wednesday evening services. In addition, 3 year old attend Kidz Worship Choirs at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday nights.
Extended Care is provided during the morning worship service to allow parents to enjoy the time of worship while knowing that their child is being cared for in a loving environment. In this ministry, parents and other caring adults are periodically asked to serve during this time with infants through three year olds.
Sunday School
On Sundays mornings, beginning at 9:15 p.m., children attend Sunday School classes specifically designed for their age group. Our children use the Explore The Bible curriculum from LifeWay.
Missions Ministry
My Availability…HIS ABILITY…Their Accesibility
This is the essence of Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8. We must be available and obedient to pray, to give and to go. We must understand that our availability and obedience enables HIS ABILITY which gives us all we need to pray, to give and to go. Their accessibility (the accessibility of all peoples in all places - geographically, culturally, socio-economically), is their privilege and opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel and is intrinsically linked to our availability and obedience.
Mission Giving
EBC joins with thousands of Southern Baptist churches to support missions causes around the nation and around the world. A percentage of our undesignated budget receipts are given to the Cooperative Program. Of that amount a portion goes to the ministry of the Lincoln Baptist Association and the remainder to Cooperative Program ministries around our state, nation, and world. In addition we emphasize and give to the annual offerings for State Missions, North American Missions and International Missions.
The channel for individuals to give to missions above and beyond their tithes is EBC’s One $ent Global Missions Offering. The goal is to give one penny out of every dollar of take-home pay but to begin, give what you are able to give. When we give regularly and consistently to missions, we will find it easier to give and will give more. Global Missions gifts supplement our gifts to the annual offerings mentioned above and is the source for direct giving to various missions projects and support for volunteers serving from our church.
Missions Opportunities
EBC seeks to provide opportunities throughout the year for individuals and groups to get involved in missions projects. Some of these take place in the context of the Missions Organizations. Others may be an age-group or church-wide emphasis.
Easthaven is blessed to have individuals serving in Honduras and East Asia as well as having a partnership with Hands Of Hope in West Virginia and Grace Baptist Church in Las Vegas, NV. Projects are planned regularly to provide opportunities to serve in these areas. In addition local and area projects are planned throughout the year.
Senior Adult Ministry
The Senior Adult Ministry at Easthaven involves adults who are 50 Plus. Some are still actively working at their jobs while others are actively working at being retired.
Sunday morning offerings include Bible study classes for men, for ladies and for couples. Small group Discipleship classes are offered throughout the year on Sunday nights. On the first Sunday of each month, we meet at 8:54 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for special time of breakfast and Bible study.
Monthly fellowship programs, luncheon outings, day trips and one or two annual trips to conferences or just for fun as well as opportunities to be involved in missions and ministry round out being an active Senior Adult at Easthaven Baptist Church.
Music & Worship Ministry
The Music & Worship Ministry of Easthaven offers many opportunities to praise the Lord through instrumental or vocal music. It is our desire to see God exalted and lifted up through our service to Him. Please prayerfully consider how God might use you to lead others in worship.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir involves adults college age and older. There is no audition process. All that is required is a heart that is ready and willing to serve the Lord. The choir rehearses each Wednesday from 6:15 - 7:30 p.m. in the choir suite. In addition to providing weekly service music, the choir also presents yearly Easter, Patriotic, and Christmas productions.
Orchestra and Praise Band
The Easthaven Orchestra helps lead in worship each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. as well as special programs throughout the year. Rehearsal is on Wednesday nights at 6:15 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 8:30 p.m. in the worship center. In addition to standard orchestra positions, we also use a band to help lead in worship. If you are interested in joining the orchestra or band, simply contact Robert Mayfield or come to one of our Wednesday night rehearsals. We will be happy to help you find a seat and a folder of music. Drop in anytime and give us a try.
Kidz Worship Choirs
At 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights, our younger students participate in music activities as well as Bible Study. Children, 3-years-old through 6th grade, have fun singing, glorifying God and sharing in fellowship. This ministry begins in the fall and will continue throughout the school year. Often times, our Kidz Choirs help lead in worship on Sunday mornings. Each year, our Kidz Worship Choirs sing in "The Sounds Of Christmas" as well as our Palm Sunday Night of Worship.
Our Kidz Worship Choirs follow the school schedule, beginning in August and continuing through mid-May
Tech Team
Through our media and technical ministry, our church is able to touch our community in many areas. On Sunday mornings, we use a team of volunteers which includes audio engineers, lighting technicians, and computer operators. In addition, we have a full camera and video editing system which requires two camera operators and a director/switcher position. We are always excited about new people coming into this ministry. Student and College Ministry
Welcome to the website of Easthaven Baptist Church and to the Student and/or College Ministry.
Every family and each individual has a different story to tell. Different life experiences and opportunities have brought us to where we are today. God, in His infinite wisdom and creativity, made us all unique and yet still in His image and likeness. No matter our background, race, ethnicity, sex, or current situation, we share at least one common bond on this earth: we were all created to glorify God. This means as followers of Jesus Christ, we have purpose each and every day—to worship God with our lives & lifestyles, our actions & words, and our thoughts & attitudes. Following Christ is not always easy, but it is always worth the cost.
The mission of the Student Ministry of Easthaven Baptist Church is to (1) equip, assist and resource parents in their God-given task of discipling their children and (2) love, equip, and challenge students to become faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
This section of the website has been designed with you in mind, and we hope that you will come back often. We also hope to see you on our church campus sometime soon. Please let us know how we can effectively minister to you and your family.
Student Ministry Purpose: At Easthaven Baptist Church, students of all ages will learn about the five purposes of the church:

- Connect To grow as a disciple of Jesus and to disciple other believers.
- Give To follow in obedience, giving a portion of our finances to God.
- Serve To actively be the hands and feet of Jesus by meeting needs in our church, family, schools, and community.
- Go To tell others in our community and beyond how Jesus has changed our lives so that all may know Him.

Special Needs Ministry
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful."
Psalms 139:14
The special education ministry at EBC ministers to those with mild to moderate developmental disabilities. This ministry offers the Special Friends Sunday School class on Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m. This culturally diverse class provides activities such as worship in song, creative learning, and Bible study. They also participate in social outings such as area festivals, eating out, and sporting events under the direction of trained lay people. The members are individuals who reside at home with family members, area residential centers, and group homes. The class ministers to each other by forming lasting friendships and through our weekly prayer ministry.
